Everybody plays everybody
A round robin is the fairest format there is: every player meets every other one, and the table at the end says who was best. Type the players into Players or teams, spin the wheel or press Draw the rest at once, and the whole schedule is there, round by round. With an odd number of players, one of them rests in each round.
Tick Everybody plays everybody twice for home and away matches, the way football leagues play.
Scores in, table out
Type each score into the boxes beside the match. The table updates as you type: points, wins, draws, losses, the score and the difference. Set how many points a win, a draw and a loss are worth – 3, 1 and 0 as in football, or 2, 1 and 0 for a chess club.
Groups, like a World Cup
For a bigger tournament, choose how many Groups – up to eight. Each spin draws the next player into the group whose turn it is, and the rules of a real draw apply:
- Seeded players – one per group, so the favourites do not meet before the knockouts.
- Keep apart – players of one club, class or country never land in the same group. Write each club on one line, names separated by commas:
Anna, Ben, Cyril.
Every group then gets its own schedule and its own table. Take the best of each group into the tournament bracket generator for the knockout stage.
Take it with you
When the draw is done, the tables and every match comes out of the page in whatever shape you need:
- Image (PNG) – a picture to send to the group chat or put on a screen.
- Excel (.xlsx) – a real workbook, laid out and ready to fill in.
- CSV – for Google Sheets, Numbers or anything else.
- Copy as text – for a message or an e-mail.
- Copy as table – paste straight into the cells of a spreadsheet.
- Print / PDF – the print dialog of your browser, where “Save as PDF” is one of the printers.
Everything happens in your browser and stays on this device: close the page and it is still there tomorrow.
