What is World Environment Day?
World Environment Day is led by the United Nations and is one of the largest days of its kind. Each year it has its own theme and a host country.
Ways to mark the day
- Find out this year’s theme, and what is planned near you.
- Repair something instead of buying a new one.
- Go without single-use plastic for the day.
How the countdown works
The clock counts down to the 5th of June on your own device’s time, so it reaches zero at midnight where you are. When the day is over, it starts again for next year. Full screen puts it on a classroom board or a big screen. To count down to something of your own, enter it under Your own event.
