Five cards, dealt fair
Every deal takes five cards from a full, shuffled deck of 52. Cards already dealt stay out of the deck until you shuffle, just like at a real table.
The poker hands, best first
- Royal flush: ace, king, queen, jack and ten of one suit.
- Straight flush: five in a row, one suit.
- Four of a kind: four cards of one rank.
- Full house: three of a kind and a pair.
- Flush: five cards of one suit.
- Straight: five in a row, mixed suits.
- Three of a kind.
- Two pair.
- One pair.
- High card: nothing else – the highest card counts.
What people use it for
- Learning the hand rankings: deal, name the hand, check.
- Teaching probability: how often does a pair come up in twenty deals?
- A quick game without cards: everybody deals once, best hand wins.
Fewer or more cards
Five is a poker hand; change the number of cards per draw to deal one card at a time, or three for a quick game.
Nothing to install
