One goal, picked for you
Most resolutions fail because there are too many of them. Spin once, and you have one clear goal for the year. Do not like it? That tells you something too: spin again and see which one you were hoping for.
Choose what you want to change
Goals are sorted into health, money, learning, people, and mind and habits. Switch on only the parts of your life you actually want to work on.
How to keep it
- Make it small. “Walk 30 minutes” is easier to keep than “get fit”.
- Tie it to a habit you already have, like reading after brushing your teeth.
- Tell someone. A friend who asks about it is worth more than willpower.
- Missed a day? Carry on. One bad day does not end a resolution unless you let it.
A game for New Year’s Eve
Pass the phone around at the party and have everyone spin. Write the results down, seal them in an envelope and open it next New Year’s Eve.
Add your own
Have a goal already? Add it, and let the wheel decide which one you start with.
