How it works
The wheel lands on a European country, and you choose its capital from the answers. The wrong answers come from the same part of Europe, so you cannot guess by geography alone.
Your score and your run
Every right answer adds to the Score, and the run counts how many you got right in a row. Best run remembers your record on this device.
Pick the topics
Practice one region at a time: switch on Western Europe for a gentle start, then try The Balkans or Northern Europe, where the Baltic capitals catch people out.
Easier or harder
Under Quiz settings choose how many Answers to choose from, and switch on Take the ones I got right off the wheel to work through the whole set until nothing is left.
The ones people get wrong
- Switzerland is Bern, not Zurich or Geneva.
- Netherlands: Amsterdam is the capital, even though the government sits in The Hague.
- Slovenia and Slovakia are easy to mix up, and so are Ljubljana and Bratislava.
- The Baltic states: from north to south, Estonia has Tallinn, Latvia has Riga and Lithuania has Vilnius.
Learning them for good
Turn on Take the ones I got right off the wheel and keep going. What is left at the end is what you still have to learn. For the rest of the world, try the Capital Cities Quiz.
