Roll a d20
The twenty-sided die decides almost everything in Dungeons & Dragons: attacks, skill checks, saving throws. This page opens with one, ready to roll. Press ROLL and it tumbles and lands:
The whole set
A standard set of RPG dice has seven: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and the percentile d100. Pick the Faces and How many next to the dice:
- d4 – daggers and small healing potions.
- d6 – fireballs, sneak attacks and most board games.
- d8 – longswords and a cleric’s healing.
- d10 and d100 – percentile rolls and wild magic tables.
- d12 – the barbarian’s greataxe.
- d20 – every attack, check and saving throw.
Mixed rolls in one go
Damage is rarely one die. Write the roll into Your own set the way the rulebook does and every die is rolled at once, with the Total added up:
2d20– advantage or disadvantage: keep the higher or the lower.1d8 + 2d6– a longsword hit with a sneak attack.8d6– a fireball.4d6– rolling an ability score: drop the lowest die and add up the other three.
Rolls on the table
Previous rolls stay listed with their totals, so a disputed roll can be checked:
Roll length makes the roll longer for a dramatic moment, or turns the animation off when the fight has twelve goblins in it:
Your dice, your colours
Colours sets the colour of the dice and the numbers – a red set for the fighter, a purple one for the warlock:
