Which capital is it?
Each spin of this wheel lands on a country and asks for its capital. Four answers, one right. Press SPIN!, read the country and pick:
The wrong answers are real capitals of countries on the same continent, which is what makes it a quiz rather than a guess – Madrid, Lisbon and Rome are all plausible for a country in Europe.
Your score and your run
Score counts the right answers, In a row counts how many you have got right without a mistake, and Best run remembers your longest. Start again clears them:
One continent at a time
The wheel opens on Europe. Click a continent to put it on the wheel or take it off – Asia only, Africa only, or everything at once for a hard round:
Easier or harder
Open Quiz settings to change how many answers you get (two is a coin toss, eight is a real test) and where the wrong ones come from. Anything takes them from every country on the wheel, which is easier – a capital from another continent is often easy to rule out:
Take the right ones off the wheel is the way to go through a continent once: every country you get right leaves, and what is left is what you still have to learn.
For the classroom
- Geography lessons: project the wheel and let the class answer together.
- Homework practice – one continent a week.
- A quiz round at the end of a lesson, with the score on the board.
- Revision before a test: switch to eight answers and go through every continent.
