What is International Day of Families?
The International Day of Families is a United Nations day that reminds us of the importance of families, in all their forms.
Ways to mark the day
- Eat together, with phones off the table.
- Call a relative you have not seen for a long time.
- Look through old photos, and ask for the stories behind them.
How the countdown works
The clock counts down to the 15th of May on your own device’s time, so it reaches zero at midnight where you are. When the day is over, it starts again for next year. Full screen puts it on a classroom board or a big screen. To count down to something of your own, enter it under Your own event.
