How to play
- Everybody takes a pen and paper – or prints answer sheets.
- Press New round. The page picks a letter and a handful of categories, and the clock starts.
- Write one thing for each category starting with the letter: a country, an animal, something in the kitchen.
- When the time is up, read the answers out. An answer nobody else has is worth two points, one somebody else has too is worth one, a blank is worth nothing.
Your rules
Change Categories per round and Seconds, or rewrite the whole list in All the categories – a list for the classroom, for a family, for film buffs. Each round takes a different handful at random, and a letter that has just come up is not picked again for a while.
Known by many names
The game is played all over the world, under many names – Scattergories, Stop, Stadt Land Fluss, Petit Bac. Paper and pencil are all it needs; the page takes care of the letter and the clock.
