Pick from any list
A wheel picker does one job: it takes a list and chooses from it at random, in front of everybody. Replace the names on the wheel with your own list – one item per line, pasted in all at once if you have it somewhere else – and press SPIN!
The wheel turns, slows down and stops on one of them:
Nobody is picked twice
This wheel starts with Take the winner off the wheel switched on: every pick leaves the wheel, and the next spin chooses from whoever is left. Go round the whole class, the whole team or the whole to-do list, and everybody gets exactly one turn. When one item is left, the wheel says so and stops.
Want every spin to choose from the full list again – for a random daily pick, say? Switch it off under Options:
Several picks at once
Winners per spin draws up to eight with one press of the button. The wheel spins that many times in a row and never lands on the same item twice in one round: two for a pair, three for a podium, six for a lottery line.
What people pick with it
- Who goes first – in a game, a presentation, a meeting.
- A student to answer the next question, without anyone feeling singled out.
- Giveaway winners from a list of entries, with the result on screen for everyone.
- Team captains, a secret-santa order, who does the dishes tonight.
- Tasks from a to-do list, when you cannot decide where to start.
- Questions for a quiz night, topics for a debate, songs for a playlist.
Is the wheel picker fair?
Every item gets a segment of the same size, and where the wheel stops is random, so every item has the same chance. If one should count for more – two entries in a draw, a favourite on the menu – add |x2 at the end of its line: its segment doubles, and so does its chance.
Past winners lists every pick, newest first, so you can show the order afterwards:
