The oldest way to decide
A fist full of straws, all the same length above it – and one of them short. Everybody draws one; whoever gets the short straw does the job nobody wants. Tap a straw to draw it.
With names
Put the names into Who draws, one per line, in the order you will draw. The page then says whose turn it is, and writes each name over the straw they took.
More than one short straw
Choose how many Straws and how many Short ones – two short straws for two volunteers, three for a team. New bundle shuffles a fresh one.
