What is Earth Day?
Earth Day has been held every year since 1970 and is now marked in almost every country. It is a day for looking after the planet, and for doing something about it.
Ways to mark the day
- Plant a tree or something for the bees.
- Clean up a park, a beach or your own street.
- Change one habit: walk one trip, or waste less food.
How the countdown works
The clock counts down to the 22nd of April on your own device’s time, so it reaches zero at midnight where you are. When the day is over, it starts again for next year. Full screen puts it on a classroom board or a big screen. To count down to something of your own, enter it under Your own event.
