What is World Wildlife Day?
World Wildlife Day is a United Nations day for the wild animals and plants of the world, and the threats they face.
Ways to mark the day
- Learn about one endangered animal from your own region.
- Go for a walk and count how many wild species you can spot.
- Feed the birds, or put up a nest box.
How the countdown works
The clock counts down to the 3rd of March on your own device’s time, so it reaches zero at midnight where you are. When the day is over, it starts again for next year. Full screen puts it on a classroom board or a big screen. To count down to something of your own, enter it under Your own event.
