Forty words to start with
The wheel is full of everyday words. Each spin picks one and asks for the Spanish, with four answers to choose from. Press SPIN!:
The wrong answers come from the same theme, so the choice is between four real Spanish words a learner might mix up – not between one word and three that are obviously wrong.
One theme at a time
The words are in four groups: greetings, food and drink, out and about, and numbers and time. Click a group to put it on the wheel or take it off – one theme a day is a reasonable pace:
Open a group to untick the words you already know, or to add your own:
The score is the practice
Score, In a row and Best run sit under the wheel. Ten in a row means the theme is yours:
Tick Take the right ones off the wheel under Quiz settings and every word you get right leaves. What is still on the wheel at the end is your revision list:
How to use it
- Five minutes a day, one theme.
- Say the word out loud before you pick – reading and saying are different skills.
- Turn the answers up to eight when four feel easy.
- Add the words from your own course book to the groups.
