What is International Day of Friendship?
The International Day of Friendship is a United Nations day built on the idea that friendship between people and countries can help build peace.
Ways to mark the day
- Send a message to an old friend.
- Make plans, rather than saying “we should meet”.
- Say what you value in a friend, out loud.
How the countdown works
The clock counts down to the 30th of July on your own device’s time, so it reaches zero at midnight where you are. When the day is over, it starts again for next year. Full screen puts it on a classroom board or a big screen. To count down to something of your own, enter it under Your own event.
