What is World Science Day for Peace and Development?
This UNESCO day is about the part science plays in society, and about bringing it closer to everyone.
Ways to mark the day
- Visit a science museum, or look at one online.
- Try a kitchen experiment with children.
- Read about a recent discovery, and tell someone about it.
How the countdown works
The clock counts down to the 10th of November on your own device’s time, so it reaches zero at midnight where you are. When the day is over, it starts again for next year. Full screen puts it on a classroom board or a big screen. To count down to something of your own, enter it under Your own event.
