What is World Tourism Day?
World Tourism Day is a United Nations day about what travel means for people, economies and cultures.
Ways to mark the day
- Be a tourist in your own town for a day.
- Plan your next trip, or at least dream about it.
- Visit a small local museum you have always walked past.
How the countdown works
The clock counts down to the 27th of September on your own device’s time, so it reaches zero at midnight where you are. When the day is over, it starts again for next year. Full screen puts it on a classroom board or a big screen. To count down to something of your own, enter it under Your own event.
