What is International Youth Day?
International Youth Day is a United Nations day for young people and the part they play in solving the world’s problems.
Ways to mark the day
- Start something: a club, a project or a small business.
- Volunteer with friends.
- Ask a young person what they think, and listen to the answer.
How the countdown works
The clock counts down to the 12th of August on your own device’s time, so it reaches zero at midnight where you are. When the day is over, it starts again for next year. Full screen puts it on a classroom board or a big screen. To count down to something of your own, enter it under Your own event.
