What is International Volunteer Day?
International Volunteer Day is a United Nations day that thanks volunteers, and encourages others to join them.
Ways to mark the day
- Give a few hours to a local charity.
- Thank someone who volunteers near you.
- Find one regular thing you can do through the coming year.
How the countdown works
The clock counts down to the 5th of December on your own device’s time, so it reaches zero at midnight where you are. When the day is over, it starts again for next year. Full screen puts it on a classroom board or a big screen. To count down to something of your own, enter it under Your own event.
