A party game that takes a minute to set up
Choose how many cards you need and print them. Each one has the same Christmas words in a different order, so nobody can copy a neighbor and everyone has a fair chance.
How to play
- Give every player a card and something to mark it with: a pen, a sweet or a small coin.
- The caller reads the words from the list one at a time, in random order.
- Players mark each word they have on their card.
- The first player with a full row calls out Bingo! and wins the round.
- Play on for two rows, then a full card, with a bigger prize each time.
Change the words
The list starts with tree, Santa, snowman and other Christmas favorites. Take out what does not suit you and add your own: the names of the family, the dishes on your table, the traditions of your country. You need at least as many words as there are squares on a card.
Good for
- Family gatherings: children and grandparents can play together.
- The classroom: a quiet last lesson before the holidays, and new words for language learners.
- Office parties: quick, cheap and easy to run for a big group.
