What is International Day of Peace?
The International Day of Peace is a United Nations day, also called World Peace Day, which calls for 24 hours of ceasefire and non-violence around the world.
Ways to mark the day
- Observe a minute of silence at noon.
- Make up with someone after an argument.
- Learn about a place where people are living through a conflict.
How the countdown works
The clock counts down to the 21st of September on your own device’s time, so it reaches zero at midnight where you are. When the day is over, it starts again for next year. Full screen puts it on a classroom board or a big screen. To count down to something of your own, enter it under Your own event.
