Start the 15 minute timer
A quarter of an hour is long enough to get something real done and short enough to start without putting it off.
Press Start and the countdown runs: big numbers you can read from across the room and a ring that empties as the time goes. Pause stops it, Go on carries on, and Start over puts the full time back.
A quiet signal at the end
When the time is up the page says Time is up! and plays a short, soft chime – three bell notes, twice – and the phone vibrates where it can. Untick Sound for a silent timer; the page remembers your choice.
What people use it for
- A focus block on one task, phone face down.
- A coffee break that ends on time.
- Group work in class: fifteen minutes, then everyone presents.
- Cooking: rice, a quick bake, letting meat rest.
Any other time
-1 min and +1 min change the time before you start. For something else entirely, type it into Your own time – 7 for seven minutes, 7:30 for seven and a half – and press Set. The space bar starts and stops the timer.
Full screen
Full screen fills a projector, a TV or a tablet with the countdown, nothing else.
